Introduction of a new battery collection service available to every resident in Peterborough.
190 vehicles in our transport fleet supporting our work across the city, from ride on mowers to 32t hook loaders. Two fully electric refuse collection vehicle with 24 further refuse vehicles fitted with electric bin lifts for noise and fuel emission reduction. 32 more vehicles purchased on top of current newer fleet which use ad-blue to reduce emissions. Dedicated programme to maximise tyre usage and reduce cost and waste. Driver monitoring programme to ensure safe and fuel effective driving – reducing emissions, costs and wear and tear.
Our passenger transport team carry out 24 school runs per day during term time with additional school trips.
Nearly 5.000 trees planted, with 70 different species across 111 sites.
Many of the cities open and green spaces maintained including three parks that have achieved the nationally recognised Green Flag Award.
